Today’s comic comes from a comic strip called Sam & Silo. They are the Sheriff (Sam) and Deputy (Silo) of Upper Duckwater. They’re described as two average Joes and buddies.
Another of the (rarer) characters is Funny Floyd, described as “a naturalist, a poet, highly educated—and nuts”. Fits me to a tee. 🙂
Here’s the strip from January 30, 1982, featuring Floyd.
That’s not winter! There’s grass showing. (I need to move somewhere like that.)
It may be winter in the tropics…
Well, it’s not Canadian winter. Here in central Ohio the snow all melted yesterday (an inch of rain), so we have plenty of grass showing. Unfortunately, when one is Canadian, one’s options are limited when it comes to milder winters. (Any chance of moving back to Vancouver?)
Vancouver is good for barefooting (except for libraries and liquor stores), but I was unhappy there. I felt lost. I’m leaning towards New York or London, when my ship comes in. We have rain here too right now, and hopefully the sidewalks will be clearer today (they were still a sheet of ice yesterday in some places). I want to get out while we have a warm spell.
