There is a group of five sandhill cranes at one of our Metro Parks that have not made it all the way south in their migration yet.
Yesterday they were at our local Pickerington Ponds Metro Park, where I managed to get a photo of them:
That’s the best shot I could get, with full telephoto.
These are magnificant birds that stand about 2 feet tall.
One time I was driving along I-74 in Illinois when a flock flew by. It was a most spectacular sight.
