It really is fun to watch.

But also notice that he is barefoot. Play it a second time and watch what he does with his feet.
He needs exquisite balance. He needs incredible placement and feel for the position of his body in order to do this. And that’s where bare feet come in.
It seems that when body awareness is really necessary, when placement matters, bare feet can be important. The sensory input from the soles convey so much more information when not filtered through the thick sole of a shoe. You also see this in gymnastics and some forms of dancing.
It just makes sensory sense.
