The interview went for a full hour. My how time flies when you’re having fun
(and is WAS fun!).
The topic was mainly the enactment of the shoe rule by the Ohio Statehouse. Regular readers of this blog will be well-aware of the particulars.
However, there were other things discussed, too.
We can one person call in, Larry, who was the most typical anti-barefoot person you could imagine. He was absolutely sure that all feet were spreading athlete’s foot (and would listen to nothing).
He complained about ugly feet. Yet, when it was pointed out that such feet were just as visible in sandals and flip-flops, about all he could do was sputter.
Unfortunately, he was the archetype of the sorts of people we have to deal with. I’m afraid that there is just no way to convince these sorts of people of anything.

In the interview, I gave a few references to scientific papers. You can find many of them here.
